Pharmia is a globally growing company and the leader in the manufacturing of food supplements and CE-marked medical devices in Finland. In the spring of 2020, this Tuusula-based family business with over 25 years of experience in the field chose the iPES by Pinja system to optimise production planning and supply chain management in the company.
– We at Pharmia were willing to take a digital leap. Our company is currently growing both domestically and in the export market, which is why we needed a suitable system and the right partner to support our work in an optimal way, summarises Pharmia CEO Janne Kostamo.
The project was initiated with a detailed analysis and assessment of the existing operating methods and systems. The company had in place several different systems that did not communicate with each other with sufficient efficiency. As a result of the submitted expert evaluations and long negotiations, Pharmia decided to switch their ERP system and also introduce the iPES system for production planning and manufacturing controlling.
– Pinja convinced us with their expertise and the versatility and usability of the system. iPES is a comprehensive tool for production planning and optimisation, and it will help us make our entire production system electronic, eliminating all use of paper.
The system delivery was initiated in the spring, and everyone at Pharmia is eagerly waiting for the results. As a pioneer in product development, Pharmia is constantly working to study and develop new products and product applications.
– In essence, the entire digital leap and system renewal project is based on our will to serve our customers even better and more flexibly in the future. For our customers, the project means, for example, more efficient production and quicker deliveries.
