Pinja has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its data security management system. Pinja provides business-critical software solutions to clients in more than 30 countries. Data security is therefore one of the most important areas of Pinja’s sustainability program.

“We decided to certify our data security management system to ensure that our clients can meet industry best practices and requirements now and in the future. Our clients’ business is connected to supply chains where the high level of data security of our services is essential for them from the point of view of smoothness, data security and continuity of their daily activities”, says Veli-Matti Nurminen, CEO of Pinja.

The ISO 27001 certification is the most recognized certification in the world, and achieving it demonstrates a company’s commitment to data security development and service quality.

“The certification further develops our methodology and awareness of data security management. The business environment is constantly evolving, and in the face of change, the risk-based approach of ISO/IEC 27001 ensures the best reliability and efficiency. Continuous development of data security and regular external evaluation are the cornerstones of data security for an international software company like ours”, says Pekka Nurminen, CIO of Pinja.

Kiwa Inspecta partnered with Pinja for the ISO/IEC27001:2022 certification. The certification and audit were completed in June 2024. The certification covers the design, development, delivery, support, and maintenance of Pinja’s bioenergy and circular economy SaaS solutions, ICT and Service Desk services, internal IT, Pinja’s HR services, and administration.
