Pinja’s Board of Directors will be strengthened by external expertise. Mr. Matti Viljo and Mr. Jari Salo have been appointed as new board members. Pinja’s Board of Directors now comprises five members. Juha Tukiainen, Managing Partner of MB Funds, will continue as the chair. The other board members are Aapo Eskelinen from MB Funds.
Matti Viljo is CEO of Adven Group, an energy company serving the industry and municipalities. During his career, Mr. Viljo has held several international managerial positions in the ICT sector in Europe and in the USA, at IBM and Oracle, for example. He has wide-ranging managerial expertise in the industry, traditional IT service companies, software companies, as well as management of growth strategies and consulting. He has been involved in several significant acquisitions and transactions and is a professional board member with a high level of expertise.
Jari Salo is a specialised industry expert and CEO of component manufacturer Tevo Lokomo. Mr. Salo has had a long career in Finland and abroad, at Wärtsilä, Neo Industrial Plc and Kumera, for example. He is an expert in industrial production management with experience ranging from practical applications of the industrial Internet to sales development and business development programmes. Mr. Salo has served in several managerial and board positions in multinational and international companies.
Juha Tukiainen is Managing Partner of MB Funds. He has long experience in acquisitions, transactions and private equity and has served in several board positions both in Finland and abroad. Prior to this, he has served e.g. at A-Katsastus Group (a leading European vehicle inspection operator) as the Group CEO and other managerial positions with his areas of responsibility encompassing corporate strategy, business development, acquisitions, financial administration and international expansion. He is also Chairman of the Finnish Venture Capital Association.
Aapo Eskelinen is a Partner at MB Funds. Before this position, Mr. Eskelinen was involved with acquisitions, transactions and business development at two investment banks and in the industrial sector. In his latest role, he served as Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Rautaruukki Corporation and SSAB (a global special steel company). Prior to this, he was a Partner at Summa Capital and a corporate finance analyst at ICECAPITAL.
