Pinja and Kuhmo Oy have signed a contract to provide Kuhmo sawmill with iPES production planning and scheduling system. The contract is related to Kuhmo’s ongoing sawline renovation which will increase their production capacity to 600,000 m3.
The contract includes the iPES production planning system, which represents the latest available technology, and a joint database for centralized product and recipe information management.
With the iPES system, we ensure that the control and reporting of the new process equipment is firmly connected to the sawmill’s current systems. The new system makes operations more efficient and reduces the possibility of human errors, summarizes Kuhmo Oy CEO Tommi Ruha.
