Ingarp Träskydd is a wood protection company outside Eksjö that focuses on treatment of wood products, such as impregnation, painting and fire protection treatment.
Demand for impregnated building materials increased enormously when people started working from home at the beginning of the pandemic. Due to the increased demand, the company has been working hard since the spring of 2020, and the year ended up being a record year. As the company began using Timber by Pinja, it managed to cope with increased volumes, and also helped streamline processes.
Following the implementation project, which began in the fall of 2019, the system was put into operation in May 2020. According to Ingarp Träskydd, the implementation went smoothly, and the system worked without issues. Timber by Pinja supports the work of Ingarp Träskydd from the receipt of materials, via the impregnation and surface treatment process to the delivery. The system can exchange package information with customers’ systems in order to reduce the amount of manual work.

Timber by Pinja provided Ingarp Träskydd with a modern ERP system that helps the company to grow and eventually digitize various parts of its business. The system includes complete functions for finishing and wood processing. Ingarp Träskydd processes 70,000 cubic meters of wood per year. The company has about 20 employees and a revenue of about SEK 50 million. Ingarp Träskydd’s strength is to work with several impregnation processes that cover all needs. All processes are quality and environmental certified and meet the most stringent requirements.
Pinja collaborates with Triona, a Swedish supplier of innovative IT solutions related to logistics and infrastructure operations. Triona offers the Swedish wood industry a Swedish version of the system, including implementation support and general support.
When Ingarp Träskydd planned its system change, several different alternatives were compared, and the choice was Timber by Pinja. What made the system particularly interesting compared to others was the availability of Swedish support. It was also important that they, as a small company, aren’t left behind the bigger customers. In addition to a functional system, fast, flexible and personal help from Triona was also a decisive factor.

Detailed information about packages is also available quickly and easily. “What we also like about the system compared to others is that we can filter out information and get the most important things, such as the wood protection class or the lengths. The function also helps with the searchability and traceability of the packages, which saves a huge amount of time. The system has many functions that we benefit from”, adds Johanna Pamp.
Ingarp Träskydd says the system is flexible, and is satisfied with the support. Timber by Pinja is a program that is ready to use, but the company has selected the functions that are relevant to them. With Timber by Pinja, Ingarp Träskydd saves up to one working hour per day.

Timber by Pinja has helped us enormously, partly because of an insight of our stock, and partly due to the new way of making load orders. Printing the package notes is something that we benefited greatly from with the new system. Now we are able to make inbound deliveries, enter an entire delivery and press print – and get all of our package notes at once. “It’s absolutely golden – saves us a lot of time!”
