Scartab AB is a Swedish-based company that uses a holistic approach to technical dismantling and raw material recycling. Every year, the company helps the environment save around 6,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide. In August 2024, Scartab started collaboration with Pinja to elevate its material flow monitoring with Flow by Pinja.

Circular material flow control

The collaboration between Scartab and Pinja includes the adoption of Flow by Pinja in Scartab’s operations from August 2024. Founded in 1999 and based in Svanvik, Sweden, Scartab specializes in the dismantling and recycling of technical installations. In addition to Sweden, the company operates in Denmark.

Scartab will utilize Flow by Pinja, tailored for the circular economy, to monitor material flow recycling as part of their everyday operations. The company’s clients include operators in the telecommunications and energy sectors, for example, along with industrial companies.

“With the help of Flow, we at Scartab have better control over our material flow in our recycling process, all the way from the sites where we dismantle electrical equipment – including dismantling and sorting – to the delivery of clean material fractions and smelteries. Flow provides flexibility and functions like no other system on the market,” says Niklas Karlsson, CEO of Scartab.

“We are very excited to have Scartab on board, and we have worked closely together with Scartab to incorporate the solution seamlessly into their operations,” says Suvi Strandman, Sales Manager of Bioenergy and Recycling at Pinja.

“We believe our solution to be well-suited for Scartab as it provides an agile process for examining material flows and it can be fine-tuned specifically to their needs,” Strandman continues.
