Merja Rantala.
Merja Rantala, M.Sc. (B.A.), has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Pinja. Mrs. Rantala has extensive experience in the various areas of financial administration.
Her previous positions include, for example, senior auditor at EY (Ernst & Young) and financial manager at Sovella Oy, where she headed financial administration of the entire group. Merja Rantala joined Pinja from Tikomet Oy, a company specialising in the recycling of hardmetal scrap, where she served as CFO for ten years.
– Merja Rantala brings us strong expertise and experience for the development of financial administration. She also has valuable experience in working with growing and developing, also international companies. Her joining Pinja will free up the time of our operational management so that we will be able to serve our customers even better than before, says Pinja’s CEO Veli-Matti Nurminen.
– At Tikomet, I gained experience in working with financiers as the company was owned by several different equity investors during my service. I am confident that my knowledge of the industrial sector and experience in collaboration with diversified stakeholders will be of benefit to Pinja as well, Merja Rantala says.
