Siparila Oy and Suomen Lämpöpuu Oy, which are part of the Thermory Group, have signed an agreement with Pinja on the implementation of the Timber by Pinja ERP system. The purpose of the project is to unify the ERP systems of Siparila Oy’s four production plants and Suomen Lämpöpuu Oy. The project enables Thermory Finland’s production facilities to receive significant synergy benefits, for example, through a more uniform operating method and centralized procurement. In the future, the operations of each unit will be monitored and controlled from the Group level.

Siparila Oy is Finland’s leading manufacturer of pre-painted interior and exterior cladding panels, and their goal is to make wood interior design and construction an experience for both home decorators and professional builders.

Suomen Lämpöpuu Oy manufactures heat-treated wood, being one of the first companies to heat-treat wood on an industrial scale. At a global level, the Thermory Group’s co-production is about 160,000 m3 per year.

The Timber by Pinja ERP system provides contract partners with versatile tools e.g. for the procurement of sawn timber, production control and profitability monitoring. The system significantly improves data flow and streamlines daily operations. Versatile reporting options enable better monitoring and planning of operations also at the Group level.

“We want to ensure that we continue to be able to offer the best products in the industry to our satisfied customers. To guarantee high-quality production, the information systems used must also be the best in the industry. We were looking for a reliable and professional partner who understands our operations and can help develop them. We are confident that in cooperation with Pinja, we will exceed the goals set for the project and have a functional and truly developing information system” says Juha Sojakka, CEO of Siparila Oy.

“Cooperation with Siparila and Suomen Lämpöpuu confirms our idea that Timber by Pinja is suitable not only for sawing and planing wood, but also for many other activities related to wood processing. Timber by Pinja facilitates production planning and provides tools for controlling production and monitoring unit-specific profitability. The Pinja ForkLift application, which will be used by the production plants, will ensure the functionality of logistics in terms of both raw materials and finished products” says Antti Miettunen, Business Director of Forest Systems at Pinja.
