Software company Pinja is acquiring Oiwa Solutions Oy, an expert company focused on Knowledge-based management services. With the acquisition, Pinja’s service offering expands to areas such as predictive analytics, and the company releases new job openings in the Seinäjoki and Vaasa regions.
– Knowledge-based management solutions, such as the use of machine learning and predictive analytics, are the next big step in our customers’ digitalization. Our acquisition of Oiwa further boosts our expertise and allows us to offer all-new services to our customers. Our service offering will be supplemented with solutions such as industry-specific predictive analytics, which enable improved storage cycles and optimized production line efficiency. Oiwa holds solid expertise in applying practices of knowledge-based management in customer companies’ management throughout the organization, comments Pinja CEO Veli-Matti Nurminen.
New job openings
Oiwa Solutions Oy provides solutions for knowledge-based management by combining data warehousing, reporting, data analytics and industry-specific application. Oiwa’s turnover stood at 2.1 MEUR in 2021 and the company employs 25 people in Seinäjoki and Jyväskylä.
”Becoming a part of Pinja will develop our current operations and also open brand-new potential. We will be able to serve our customers with an expanded service offering, give them new ideas and provide our experts with opportunities for development,” says Oiwa CEO Hanna Salonen.
With the acquisition, Pinja’s operations expand to a new economic region. The company currently has offices in Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere, Lahti, Espoo, Kuopio and Mikkeli. The company will now seek new talent for its job openings in Seinäjoki and the greater area. In coming years, the company aims to open approximately a hundred new jobs in the region.
”We will open new vacancies in several of our specialist areas, such as knowledge-based management and software development. We also seek new talent in the wider area as a notable share of our staff work remotely, either in part or in full. We believe Seinäjoki and Vaasa to hold great potential both in terms of talent and customers,” Veli-Matti Nurminen says.
