“Data management and information technology develop at such pace that we felt we needed external expert help. We use new measurement technology whereby the clients read the dosimeter themselves at the workplace and the measuring data is transferred in the network. In this regard we also needed advice in data security issues when the new data protection regulation came into force.

Earlier we had several service providers, and the firewall was provided by one of them, the work stations by another. In a small company hiring our own CIO would not have been profitable, so we looked for a partner to provide the whole package and also the coordination of data management.

The core of our cooperation with Pinja has been the Pinja IT manager as a service that takes care of the company’s data management and data security as well as the transition to electronic customer interfaces. In addition to the expert work, our equipment, software and firewalls are now in order,” says Hannu Hyvönen, the CEO of Doseco Oy.

Last autumn we moved to new premises and at the same time our servers were transferred from physical premises to a cloud service. Cloud servers were recommended for us, and they have worked very well. The biggest changes in our data management are now done, but the maintenance and small scale development in cooperation with Pinja continues,” Hyvönen concludes.
